Lakes are nice; Cotton Pond is a lake that's close to Grassy Pond; St. George River is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. A good deal of rainfall falls at Grassy Pond; most of the rain falls through November while July is typically the driest month. The warmest time of the year at Grassy Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. During the winter       this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Grassy Pond all through the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 10's. A day on the slopes of Camden is just what you need, and a fine spot to camp here at Grassy Pond is Roberts Roost Campground. Just can't get enough of Grassy Pond. Grassy Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Mic Mac Cove Camp Ground is a glorious local campground; brilliant hiking is available along the Mount Battie                  Trail. Do pop by Fish Pond Dam since you're here at Grassy Pond; you can go for a hike on the Ragged Mountain Trail. If you need a place to stay The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt is a tremendous choice; don't leave Grassy Pond without first going for a hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Pleasant Mountain can be distinguished from Grassy Pond; a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Oyster River. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid nearby hotel is Country Inn Camden Rockport, and a golf course nearby is Goose River Golf Course.
