This lake is so wonderful. A great place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Gould Pond is Penobscot River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Eighth Debsconeag Pond near Gould Pond; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Nahmakanta Stream. The best way to spend a winter       day is on the slopes of nearby Big Squaw, and you could always look at Wadleigh Valley. If the weather is brilliant here at Gould Pond, you can go for a hike along the Abol Trail, and Gould Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Frost Pond Campground is a tremendous local campground. Gould Pond is a good place of typical rain; the month with most of the rain is July while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime                  highs at Gould Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Gould Pond fall into the-10's. So many cool things to do here at Gould Pond, too tremendous to be true. While you're here at Gould Pond you can take a hike along the Telephone Trail, and camping at Chimney Pond Campground is always a good experience.
