The high level of rain makes Gould Pond a reasonably wet location; during November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Gould Pond is close to Weymouth Pond Dam which is a delightful location beyond doubt worth checking out, and Halfmoon Pond is a great lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Northwest       Ridge Road is perfect fun. There's so much to do here at Gould Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Nature Way's Campground is a great place for that; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Sebasticook River. Lakes? Sure, Mower Pond is in the neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Gould Pond has to offer, you can camp at Palmyra Golf and RV Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Eaton Mountain                  is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood; a round of golf at nearby Dexter Municipal Golf Course is a glorious way to kill some time. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Gould Pond. Why not visit a swamp like Martin Bog if you're here at Gould Pond; after a long day outdoors Pittsfield Motor Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Gould Pond; the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the 50's.
