The beauty of Goose River Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. Seascape Motel & Cottages is a splendid place to get some rest, also Mason Pond Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here. Goose River Reservoir is a rather wet place regularly with lots of precipitation; during November this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Goose River in a kayak, and there are plenty of folks from Rockland here. This location is excellent, just check out all the enjoyable things to do right next door to Goose River Reservoir. Head up to New Hermon Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. A pleasant site to camp here at Goose River Reservoir is Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort; close by you locate the Mount Battie Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. All through the summer months
at Goose River Reservoir highs are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Goose River Reservoir during the winter commonly plunge into the 10's.
Why not take a look at Patterson Point also since you're here, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Spring Brook Trail.
There are other locations here than Goose River Reservoir, for example Mill Pond,
and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ducktrap River. So many enjoyable things to do at Goose River Reservoir, so little time. Camping at The Moorings Campground is always a pleasant experience, and while you're here, you could go to Goose River.
