     While you're here at Goose Pond it's a good idea to check out The Middle Grounds; a great close by hotel is Bar Harbor Inn. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Mopang Stream. Lakes are tremendous; Barren Pond is a lake that's near Goose Pond. All the outdoors exciting things near Goose Pond will keep you coming back persistently. Don't leave Goose Pond without first going for a hike along the Lead Mountain Trail; a swamp like Beech Hill Heath in  
   close proximity to Goose Pond has lots of attention-grabbing things to see. The high level of rainfall makes Goose Pond a relatively wet location; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and June is the month with the least moisture.
You're possibly hooked on lakes, Duck Pond is one of those nearby; there's some flowing water close by, Barren Pond Brook is a stream you can visit while here. There's so much to do here at Goose Pond that
 
               you need to camp here for a while, Sunset Point Campground is a magnificent spot for that. Throughout the long summer days at Goose Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Goose Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Pleasant River in the neighborhood of Goose Pond, and if you came to camp Mainayr Campground is a great site to do that.

Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
