    Goose Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Not far from Goose Pond, you'll hit upon Quarry Pond which is a delightful lake, and you can go for a hike on the Western Mountain South Face Trail. Goose Pond mostly gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and August on the other hand is the driest. All the outdoors amusing things next to Goose Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly.  
   The vista of Big Mountain from Goose Pond is wonderful, and glorious hiking is available along the South Face Trail.
Harbor Heights Vacation Rental is a glorious place to get some rest, and there are wonderful locations to discover along the Wonderland Trail. Goose Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Bass Harbor Campground is a tremendous local campground, and one of the best things about this site is its proximity to Hero Beach. Having a
 
               wonderful time at Goose Pond is easy. After a long day outdoors The Harbour Cottage Inn is a good location to spend a night or two, and don't forget to explore Burnt Coat Harbor if you're here.
Summertime at Goose Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows at Goose Pond throughout the wintertime usually descend into the 10's. Acadia National Park is a very splendid location to explore near Goose Pond, and you could always discover Sally Prude Ledge.
This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Stockbridge Pond, and if you're here at Goose Pond, checking out High Head is a must. This lake is so wonderful. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Lily Pond is right nearby, and you can spend the day on the beach at Joyce Beach. Camping at Quiet Side Campground is always a nice experience; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blue Hill Falls.

We went there in September, but, it seemed like an ideal, quiet place for hikers who may want to get off the beaten track on a very commercial island. The showers were clean, the sites were clean and it was not the most expensive. Forewarned, the shuttle bus doesn't go there, price to pay for remoteness....
