This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Milrose Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Kennebago River. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Goodwin Pond descend into the-10's. So many enjoyable things in the White Mountains, just amazing. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback while you're here.
