This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Union River - West Branch offers some delightful whitewater, and from Giles Pond you get a great panorama of Dunker Hill. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Union River - East Branch, and hiking along the Eagle Lake Trail is good fun.
