A visit to Lake George is always a good idea. This is a magnificent region for folks who like lakes. Round Pond is a lake in the vicinity; lots of folks from Augusta-Waterville come here. Summertime highs at Lake George usually tend to be in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake George temperatures plunge to the 0's.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Skowhegan/Canaan KOA is a magnificent local campground; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Clinton Golf Course.

people who don’t like to have a good time. Why not camp at K O A Kampgrounds if you're here at Lake George, and you can hit the slopes at Eaton Mountain nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. From Lake George you obtain a good panorama
of Foster Hill. Getting to Lambert Brook from Lake George is trouble-free; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Sebasticook River. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wesserunsett
Stream; after a long day outdoors Best Western Waterville Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two.

Eaton Mountain

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.
You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.
We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.
