Gauntlet Pond is a good spot of normal precipitation; throughout July this area sees the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Pleasant River - East Branch; nearby you discover the Number Two Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Throughout the long summer days at Gauntlet Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's while night lows are       mostly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Gauntlet Pond plunge into the-10's. Some close by water includes Gauntlet Brook. So many enjoyable things to do at Gauntlet Pond, so little time. A delightful place for whitewater paddling close to Gauntlet Pond is Pleasant River - East Branch, and going for a hike on the Jo-Mary Trail is always a great adventure. Gauntlet Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Big Moose Campground is a glorious local campground, and Big Wilkie Mountain can be distinguished from Gauntlet Pond.
