     Gauntlet Pond is always a pleasure to visit. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pleasant River - East Branch, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Gauntlet Falls. For the duration of the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Gauntlet Pond while night lows are commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's  
   to Gauntlet Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Jo-Mary Pond; a great place to camp here at Gauntlet Pond is Big Moose Campground.
You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. What would winter be without some skiing at Big Squaw, and there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Number Two Trail. Gauntlet Pond gets a typical amount of precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February
 
               is the month with the least moisture. Gauntlet Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out, and close by you come across the Jo-Mary Trail which is a great hiking trail.
You get a great sight of Big Wilkie Mountain from Gauntlet Pond, and going for a hike on the Pleasant River Trail is always a magnificent adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A great location for whitewater paddling close to Gauntlet Pond is Pleasant River - East Branch. This lake is so wonderful. This is a glorious neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Mud Gauntlet Deadwater is a lake close by, and Gauntlet Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Jo-mary Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground.
