Dry warm beds await you at The Bethel Inn Resort, and do explore Hutchinson Pond, it's a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Victoria Inn is a splendid choice; Furlong Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Papoose Pond Camping Resort is a glorious local       campground. This lake is so wonderful. Near Furlong Pond you find the Albany Mountain Trail which is a good hiking trail, and you can hit the slopes at Shawnee Peak nearby. Furlong Pond gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. For the period of the summer at Furlong Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and all through the night it cools                  down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Furlong Pond dip into the-10's. Brown Hill is lovely and can be seen from Furlong Pond, and Mount Abram has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Furlong Pond called the Albany Brook Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Little Androscoggin River offers some good whitewater. So much cool stuff to do at Furlong Pond, so little time.
