Frypan Pond gets a typical amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kennebec River - East Outlet, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Big Squaw       Mountain Trail. But wait, there's more to do close to Frypan Pond. You get a good view of Burnt Nubble from Frypan Pond, and Frypan Pond is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Enchanted Outfitters & Lodge is a glorious place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Round Pond, and some of the water close by flows, like Alder Stream. After a long day outdoors Lodge at                  Moosehead Lake is a tremendous place to spend a night or two; if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Intake Trail. The warmest time of the year at Frypan Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Frypan Pond temperatures fall to the-10's. Lakes?
