Go for a hike on the Eagle Lake Tote Road; the peak of Wadleigh Mountain can be seen from Frost Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a good location to camp, and do explore Upper South Branch Pond, it's a striking lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Old Pogy Road; dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn. Going for a hike on the Freezeout Road       is always a good adventure, and don't forget to take a great little journey to Dry Brook. All through the days of summer at Frost Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Frost Pond drop into the-10's.
