Frost Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. South Branch Pond Campground is a good local campground, and do go to Second Lake, it's a pretty lake. Webster Brook is a splendid whitewater spot near Frost Pond, and delightful hiking is available along the Eagle Lake Tote Road. Take a side spree to Dry Brook, and in case       you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Munsungan Stream. Through the warm days of summer here at Frost Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Frost Pond descend into the-10's. There's delightful hiking along the Old Pogy Road, and if you                  need a location to stay Katahdin Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Frost Pond without first going for a hike along the Freezeout Road, and Saddle Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Any time is a great time at Frost Pond if you go for the outdoors. On a beautiful day you acquire a view of Wadleigh Mountain from Frost Pond; Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a delightful campground nearby.
