If you are in Hancock county it's always a good idea to stop by Fresh Pond. Benson Brook is a nice place to pop by; a short visit to Goose Falls is always worthwhile. Camping is available at Robin Hood Camp, and Redman Beach is reasonably nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Fresh Pond you can take a hike along the Trail Point Trail, and Colonial Gables Oceanfront Village is a good place to get some rest. This

you need a location to stay Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a great choice. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Fresh Pond. Swamps like Bells Marsh right next door to Fresh Pond make
for tremendous locations to stop at, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Narramissic River. There are some good whitewater spots on Goose Falls, and if you want to hit the beach,
Bakeman Beach is nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Blue Hill Trail, and a cool spot to check out is Barneys Mistake. Bakeman Cove is next to Fresh Pond and is a great
spot to visit, and if the weather is beautiful, you acquire a delightful view of Backwood Mountain from Fresh Pond.
