The beauty of Fourth Pond is reason enough to stop by. So many exciting things to do here at Fourth Pond, too splendid to be true. Good hiking is available along the Bald Mountain Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Balsam Cove Campground is a glorious place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Blue Hill Falls near Fourth Pond, and camping is available at Robin Hood Camp.

A good spot for whitewater paddling next to Fourth Pond is Narramissic River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Fourth Pond; Old Cove Trail is a splendid local trail. Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge is a nice site to get some rest; don't leave Fourth Pond without first going for a hike along the Blue Hill Trail. At Fourth Pond all through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows
fall down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's; nighttime lows at Fourth Pond during the winter generally fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Time spent at Birchhead Shore near Fourth Pond
is always good; after a long day outdoors Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two.
