     Getting to Lanpher Brook from Fourth Lake is uncomplicated; swamps can be such interesting locations, pop by Hay Meadows since you're here at Fourth Lake. Camping at Keenes Lake Camping Grounds is always a wonderful experience, and paddling on Grand Lake Stream is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Fourth Lake is Big Lake Campground, and Machias River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. All the water falling down  
   from the sky makes Fourth Lake a wet site; the wettest month of the year is commonly November, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Lakes are such serene spots, why not pop by Third Lake near Fourth Lake; if you need a site to stay Bar Harbor Inn is a fine choice. So much exciting stuff to do at Fourth Lake, so little time. There are other places here than Fourth Lake, for example Little Musquash
 
               Lake. The warmest time of the year at Fourth Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Fourth Lake are in the 0's.

Clifford Lake
Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) . Hunting in that area was, should I say, productive . ...
