Drift down the rapids of Piscataquis River - West Branch in a kayak; lakes are such calm spots, why not stop at Punchbowl Pond. At Foss Pond all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; after the sun       is down during the wintertime temperatures at Foss Pond dip into the-10's. Foss Pond is a quite wet place ordinarily with a good deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls through July, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Bingham Motor Inn is a great location to spend a night or two, and the summit of Foss Mountain can be seen from Foss Pond. Stay the night at Balsam woods Campground; the Intake                  Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Kingsbury Stream is so much fun; some nearby water includes Bog Brook. So many cool things to do here at Foss Pond, too wonderful to be true.
