If you came to camp Wildwood Shores Campground is a good location to do that, and Punchbowl Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Kingsbury Stream has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and on a beautiful day you get a good sight of Foss Mountain from Foss Pond. What a spot this is for outdoors people. While you're here at Foss Pond, you could also have a look at gorgeous Hilton Ponds, and whitewater paddling is

There's so much to do here at Foss Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Balsam woods Campground is a delightful place for that, and while you're here, you could take a look at Bog Brook. If you need a spot to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a tremendous choice; the Big Squaw Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Motor Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Foss Pond mostly gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

Eaton Mountain
 | 21 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
