    Folly Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The skiing at Camden is good, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Rockland here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Folly Pond has to offer, you can camp at Duck Harbor Campground. Folly Pond ordinarily gets a lot of rain; during the month of November you get the most rain around here while July is ordinarily  
   the driest month.
Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Folly Pond. There's whitewater on Goose Falls for all you adrenaline people, and you can stay the night at Greenlaws RV and Tenting Park. A good close by hotel is Whitehall Inn, and on a nice day it's a tremendous idea to spend the day at Clayfers Beach. This lake is so wonderful. At Folly Pond you can make out Basin High Mountain, and you can run
 
               the rapids of Ducktrap River.
Gully Brook is a stream that you may stumble upon while here; on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Ebens Head Trail. Not far from Folly Pond you hit upon The Basin; there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Western Head Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful swamp in the vicinity of Folly Pond is Mill River; you can hit the beach if you want, Indian Camp Beach is practically right here.
After a long day outdoors Camden Harbour Inn is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Trail Point Trail. At Folly Pond throughout the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Folly Pond dip into the 10's.
