Hiking is a popular thing to do around Floods Pond; Old Gold Mine Trail is a glorious local trail, and you're probably keen on lakes, Buggy Pond is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Branch Lake Stream, and a pleasant location to camp here at Floods Pond is Branch Lake Camping Area. Don't leave Floods Pond without first going for a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail; if you want to hit the beach, Dunn Beach is in the vicinity. camping at Parks Pond Campground is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. Tannery Brook River is a glorious whitewater spot close to Floods Pond, and since you're here, do take a spree to Kimball Point.

Pushaw Lake Campground
 | 19 miles away Pushaw Lake Campground is located on Pushaw Lake in Orono, Maine. It is an 8 mile long lake with wonderful swimming and fishing. We have two laundry , two bathroom and shower facilities, as well as a Store, Gift Shop, Moose Cafe' with free WIFI in the Cafe for all our guest to enjoy, recreation hall and Arcade.
We rent Canoes and Kayaks for those of you that would like to get out on the lake and enjoy some of the beautiful nature that surrounds us.
