This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Branch Lake Stream, and a pleasant location to camp here at Floods Pond is Branch Lake Camping Area. From a precipitation point of view Floods Pond is a quite normal place;       November is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Don't leave Floods Pond without first going for a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail; if you want to hit the beach, Dunn Beach is in the vicinity. At Floods Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Floods Pond overnight low temperatures through the winter are in                  the 0's. Any time is a glorious time at Floods Pond if you love the outdoors. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Lower Springy Pond is a lake in close proximity, and Oak Hill can be distinguished from Floods Pond. Homestead Motel and Cottages is a wonderful place to get some rest, and there's glorious hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail. After a long day outdoors White Birches Country Club is a tremendous location to spend a night or two; camping at Parks Pond Campground is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful.
