At Fish Pond through the summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Fish Pond dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Herbert Grand Hotel. From a rainfall point of       view Fish Pond is a quite normal place; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Get dripping wet paddling on Moxie Stream, and going for a hike on the Intake Trail is always a splendid adventure. All the outdoors cool things in the vicinity of Fish Pond will keep you coming back over and over. Drift down the rapids of Kennebec River in a kayak, and there is a splendid hiking trail                  nearby called the Arnolds Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm sites, why not pop by Mud Pond in the vicinity of Fish Pond; Northern Outdoors is a great local campground. Moxie Falls is a glorious local attraction, and close by you find the Big Squaw Mountain Trail which is a great hiking trail.
