Bar Harbor Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Old Stream; if you came for an overnight stay Big Lake Campground is a good place to camp. Through the summertime months at First Chain Lake highs are typically in the 70's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at First Chain Lake are       in the 0's. First Chain Lake gets a great deal of water; November is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is June. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Chain Lake Dam, and swing by Chain Lake Stream it's a brilliant spot to check out. This lake is so wonderful.
