First Chain Lake gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is November while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Chain Lake Dam has fine water scenery and it's in the vicinity of First Chain Lake, and there are other locations here than First Chain Lake, for example Grover Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A quick tour       to Chain Lake Stream close to First Chain Lake is a splendid idea, and First Chain Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Big Lake Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Keenes Lake Camping Grounds is a good local campground; get drenched paddling on Old Stream. For the period of the days of summer at First Chain Lake highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs                  are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at First Chain Lake are in the 0's. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves.
