This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ferguson Lake; Cedar Lake Trail is a splendid local trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ferguson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Allagash Gateway Campsite. This lake is so wonderful.       Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by Jerry Pond near Ferguson Lake, and the Ragged Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Millinocket Stream is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Ferguson Lake, and you'll probably meet some people from Bangor here. The peak of Shack Hill can be made out from Ferguson Lake, and a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Penobscot River - West Branch. There's tremendous hiking along the Gray Ledge Dam Trail,                  and a great close by hotel is Americas Best Value Heritage Motor Inn. At Ferguson Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
