    What a nice lake Ferguson Lake is. Going for a hike along the Cedar Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and there are plenty of people from Bangor here. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Ferguson Lake; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year is February. And that's not all you can do here at Ferguson Lake. A glorious close by hotel is Katahdin Inn; camping is available at Chewonki's  
   Big Eddy Campground.
The peak of Shack Hill can be seen from Ferguson Lake; camping at Allagash Gateway Campsite is always a wonderful experience. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Ferguson Lake is Millinocket Stream, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Gray Ledge Dam Trail. During the warm months highs here at Ferguson Lake get into the 70's; the overnight is a little cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. Highs during
 
               the winter are ordinarily in the 20's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Ferguson Lake tend to be in the 0's.
For you golfers we recommend nearby Hillcrest Golf Club, and the scenery at Quakish Dam is pretty. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Ferguson Lake? Shad Pond is close by, and Comstock Brook is in the vicinity of Ferguson Lake and is always a pleasure to stop at. You can run the rapids of Penobscot River - West Branch next to Ferguson Lake It's always great to take a look at Grand Falls.
That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Ferguson Lake has it all. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Ferguson Lake you can take a hike along the Ragged Mountain Trail; Ferguson Lake is not the only site close by, Quakish Lake is a close by lake.
