There's so much to do here at Ferguson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Chewonki's Big Eddy Campground is a wonderful place for that, and a short tour to Grand Falls is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ferguson Lake; Cedar Lake Trail is a splendid local trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ferguson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Allagash Gateway Campsite. This lake is so wonderful.

Millinocket Stream is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Ferguson Lake, and you'll probably meet some people from Bangor here.
