Very wonderful water scenery is available at Mercer Dam in close proximity to Fellows Pond; there's whitewater on Wilson Stream for all you adrenaline people. Comfort Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Round Pond is just a very short distance away. Fellows Pond is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Five Seasons Campground is a nice location to camp nearby; there are some glorious whitewater

| | spots on Sandy River. This lake is so wonderful. Sanborn Hill can be distinguished from Fellows Pond; after a long day outdoors Wilson Lake Inn is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Fellows Pond. East Livermore Campgrounds is a perfect local campground, and Titcomb is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. Pond reach the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Fellows Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Fellows Pond usually gets a lot of

Eaton Mountain
 | 28 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
