     Going for a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Felker Pond is not the only place nearby, Mud Pond is a nearby lake. If only every site had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great globe it would be. Float down the rapids of Parlin Pond Stream in a kayak, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Fire Warden Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at King & Bartlett Lake Camp  
   if you're here at Felker Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The Sally Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail near Felker Pond; Saddleback has splendid slopes and a friendly staff.
Summertime highs at Felker Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Felker Pond are in the-10's. If the weather is wonderful, you get a perfect view of Camera
 
               Hill from Felker Pond, obviously you could also take a look at Long Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cupsuptic River, and camping is available at Black Arrow Lodge.
Felker Pond gets a common amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is February. Really great skiing awaits you at Sugarloaf USA, and hey, Baker Stream is a delightful local stream.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
