If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Felker Pond. Baker Stream flows through this area; the Bigelow Range Trail offers hiking at its best. Really fine skiing awaits you at Saddleback, and Camera Hill is pretty and can be made out from here. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cupsuptic River, and you can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Sugarloaf USA. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things

the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Felker Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down
to the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Felker Pond plunge into the-10's. While you're here at Felker Pond, you could also stop by beautiful Long Pond; do take a hike on the Sally Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Felker Pond is Black Arrow Lodge.

 | 13 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
