Take a side journey to Middle Branch Mousam River, and the trees of Massabesic Experimental Forest are a great source of shade on hot summer days. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Sanford Country Club is always a pleasure. Estes Lake regularly gets a large amount       of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain; September is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Estes Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Estes Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Sanford Kennebunkport Area is a splendid spot to get some rest, and a wonderful                  site to camp here at Estes Lake is Apache Campground. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Little River, also New Dam is worth stopping at since you're here. If you like the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Estes Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Sanford Inn; you can run the rapids of Great Works River.
