Caribou Brook is a stream that you may bump into while you're here, and don't leave Ervin Pond without first going for a hike along the Freezeout Road. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Munsungan Stream offers some fine whitewater. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ervin Pond has to offer,                  you can camp at South Branch Pond Campground. The amount of rain that falls at Ervin Pond is close to the national average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Go for a hike on the Eagle Lake Tote Road.
