If you're here at Elsie Pond, you could pop by Caribou Brook, and after a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two. The warmest time of the year at Elsie Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Elsie Pond dipping       down into the-10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Eagle Lake Tote Road. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Elsie Pond has to offer, you can camp at Matagamon Wilderness Campground. Any time is a tremendous time at Elsie Pond if you adore the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Munsungan Lake Tote Road. If you come at the right time of year, Munsungan Stream offers some                  wonderful whitewater, and Elsie Pond is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, South Branch Pond Campground is a perfect location to camp nearby. Elsie Pond is a good location of typical precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February.
