The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Bigrock, and a good place to camp here at Elevenmile Lake is Mountain View Campground. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Shiretown Motor Inn is a great choice, and camping at My Brothers Place is always a magnificent experience. During the warm months at Elevenmile Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's.       When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Elevenmile Lake tend to be in the 0's. Go for a hike on the Pierce Tote Road, and paddling on Meduxnekeag River - South Branch is so much fun. Yeah, come here to Elevenmile Lake for a nice time. Going for a hike on the Potters Trail is always a splendid adventure; swing by Coffin Brook it's a delightful place                  to have a look at. Drift down the rapids of Mattawamkeag River - East Branch in a kayak, and a splendid swamp near Elevenmile Lake is Coffin Bog. Good hiking is available along the Kennedy Tote Road; dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns Houlton.
