    Go to Elbow Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Big Squaw close by, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Abol Trail. Lakes are perfect; Slaughter Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Elbow Pond; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nesowadnehunk Stream. Whitewater paddling is good on Nesowadnehunk Stream River; if the weather is  
   nice, you can go for a hike along the Abol Trail.
So much fun stuff to do here at Elbow Pond, too nice to be true. There's so much to do here at Elbow Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Chimney Pond Campground is a great location for that, and Foster Field is right here at Elbow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp South Branch Pond Campground is a delightful location to do that, and hey, Nesowadnehunk Stream is a delightful
 
               local stream.
This is a tremendous region for people who like lakes. Daisey Pond is a lake close by; on a great day you can take a hike along the Abot Trail. A visit to Big Niagara Falls will fill your spirit with wonderful feelings, and Mount O-J-I is wonderful and can be seen from here. From a rainfall point of view Elbow Pond is a relatively common site; the month with most of the rain is July, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Through the warm days of summer at Elbow Pond highs are regularly in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Elbow Pond temperatures drop to the-10's.
