During the long summer days at Egg Pond temperatures are generally in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Egg Pond sink into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Sally Mountain Trail, and Egg Pond       is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Loon Echo Campground is a magnificent local campground. The yearly rainfall here at Egg Pond is about average; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Egg Pond. Don't leave Egg Pond without first going for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail, and of course, this is a glorious                  vicinity for people who like lakes, Moore Pond is a lake in close proximity. Why not have a look at a swamp like Whipple Bog if you're here at Egg Pond, and glide down the rapids of Spencer Stream in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Alder Brook Trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Whipple Pond.
