Egg Pond gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Nicatous Stream, and a lake close by is Mill Pond. There is a great hiking trail near Egg Pond called the Eagle       Lake Trail; the top of Skunk Hill is easily distinguished from Egg Pond. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Egg Pond. Egg Pond is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Maple Grove Campground is a fine location to camp nearby, and Sleeping Bear Camping is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Bartlett Stream, and the nice folks of Bangor like to hang out close by. For the period of the warmest                  time of the year here at Egg Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's while night lows are typically in the 50's.
