All through the long summer days highs here at Echo Pond get into the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Echo Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. Brackett Point is pretty close to Echo Pond, and Hunger Hill is clearly visible from Echo Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for       everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Chandler Brook, and if you need a location to stay Eastland Park Hotel is a wonderful choice. If you come at the right time of year, Royal River offers some great whitewater, and a tour to Little Beach is always a delightful idea. Echo Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Desert Dunes Of Maine Campground is a glorious local campground, and Portland Regency Hotel is a good spot to get some rest.                  Echo Pond usually gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and August is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Echo Pond that you need to camp here for a while, A Vacationland Campground is a great place for that, and on a pretty day you can stop by West Shore Sandy Beach. Any time is a nice time at Echo Pond if you love the outdoors.
