Get yourself into a kayak and hit Royal River, and Little Ossipee Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. During the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 70's at Echo Pond. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Echo Pond plunge into the 10's. After a long day outdoors Portland       Regency Hotel is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two, and while you're here here do have a look at nearby West Shore Sandy Beach. A brilliant site to pop by in the neighborhood of Echo Pond is Cow Island Ledge, and if you get bored of Echo Pond you could also go to nearby Great Pond. Echo Pond is a reasonably wet place typically with lots of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while August is the month with the least amount                  of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Chandler Brook offers some tremendous whitewater, and why not camp at A Vacationland Campground while you're here at Echo Pond. A trip to Brackett Point in the neighborhood of Echo Pond is always a great idea, and if you came for an overnight stay Winslow Park and Campground is a tremendous place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. From Echo Pond you acquire a nice panorama of Hunger Hill, and folks from Portland-South Portland love to come here. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Echo Pond.
