You'll find a lovely lake called Hales Pond near Echo Lake, and Echo Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, East Livermore Campgrounds is a tremendous local campground. If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Echo Lake. Here at Echo Lake you can catch a glimpse of Oak Hill, and you can hit the slopes at Titcomb close by. from Augusta-Waterville here at Echo Lake, and lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by Echo Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Wilson Stream near Echo Lake, and Comfort Inn & Suites is a delightful place to get some rest.

Eaton Mountain
 | 28 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
