Eagle Pond gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and February is when it's the driest. There are good places to explore along the Potters Trail, and after a long day outdoors Scottish Inns Houlton is a good place to spend a night or two. All through the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Eagle Pond. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into       the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Eagle Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Little Meadow Brook is a tremendous site to explore, and camping is available at Old Farm Inn. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Eagle Pond. Mattawamkeag River is a pleasant whitewater spot next to Eagle Pond. In the event that you don’t have a problem                  getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wytopitlock Stream, and lakes are such calm locations, why not go to Mud Pond.
