The beauty of Eagle Lake attracts many people from all around. Eagle Lake gets a common amount of annual precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Squaw if you're here. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Eagle Lake; Chase Carry is a nice local trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Ellis Brook offers some perfect whitewater.

| | Good hiking is available along the Telephone Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Allagash Stream. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Eagle Lake, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, usually in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's while Eagle Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's nice hiking along the Carry Trail, and don't forget to take a fine little tour to Soper Brook.
