Little Pickerel Pond is a lake nearby, and if you came to camp Maple Grove Campground is a fine place to do that. While you're here at Eagle Lake you can take a hike along the Lead Mountain Trail. Lakes are good; Jimmies Pond is a lake that's next to Eagle Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Narraguagus River, and the top of Jimmies Mountain is easily made out from Eagle Lake.       Get wet paddling on Nicatous Stream, and naturally Eagle Brook flows through this vicinity. Eagle Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Spring Campground is a brilliant local campground. At Eagle Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Eagle Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. You just can't picture the amount                  of outdoors exciting things the area in the neighborhood of Eagle Lake has to offer. If you need a place to stay White Birches Country Club is a good choice, and going for a hike along the Eagle Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
