Get dripping wet paddling on Union River - East Branch, and some of the water nearby flows, like Warm Brook. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in the neighborhood of Dutton Pond. Silsby Plain is a nice site to check out, and do take a look at Little Dutton Pond, it's a lovely       lake. From Dutton Pond you get a great sight of Morrison Pond Mountain, and splendid hiking is available along the Eagle Lake Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Dutton Pond. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while Dutton Pond overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay White Birches                  Country Club is a pleasant choice, and going for a hike on the Peaked Mountain Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Comfort Inn Ellsworth is a tremendous place to get some rest, and Dutton Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Eastbrook Campground is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Union River - West Branch is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Dutton Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Parks Pond Campground is a glorious place for that.
