    Do stop by Duncan Pond while you're in this part of Maine. From a rainfall point of view Duncan Pond is a relatively common location; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Looking for some flowing water? Try South Branch Brook. This lake is so wonderful. A lovely lake like Hall Pond in the vicinity of Duncan Pond is a great location to explore; if you came to camp Moose River Campground is a great place  
   to do that.
You'll come across a pretty lake called Mary Petuche Pond near Duncan Pond, and the Alder Brook Trail offers hiking at its best. All through the summertime, highs frequently are in the 70's at Duncan Pond, and the night is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Duncan Pond are in the-10's. There's so much to do here at Duncan Pond that you
 
               need to camp here for a while, Jackman Landing Campground is a great site for that, and there's whitewater on Penobscot River - South Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers.

Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Penobscot River - South Branch; Duncan Pond is right by the Sally Mountain Trail. Bingham Motor Inn is a good site to get some rest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Duncan Pond; Bald Mountain Trail is a great local trail.
