     Ducktail Pond is a nice lake to visit. Man, is there loads of exciting stuff to do in close proximity to Ducktail Pond. The summit of Bald Bluff Mountain can be observed from Ducktail Pond; going for a hike on the Peaked Mountain Trail is always a fine adventure. Ducktail Pond ordinarily gets a good deal of rain; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Eagle Lake Trail.
 
   Whitewater paddling is glorious on Tannery Brook River, and there are magnificent places to discover along the Old Gold Mine Trail. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Union River - West Branch, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Ellsworth is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place to camp here at Ducktail Pond is Eastbrook Campground, and dry warm beds await  
               you at White Birches Country Club.
Indian Camp Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, needless to say you could also explore Snowshoe Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime highs at Ducktail Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Ducktail Pond. Nearby lakes?
