Ducktail Pond is a nice lake to visit. Tannery Brook River is a pleasant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Ducktail Pond, and Bald Bluff Mountain is stunning and can be seen from here. | | rest, and some of the water close by flows, like Indian Camp Brook. At Ducktail Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows through the winter for Ducktail Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. a good site to spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ducktail Pond a wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a picturesque lake called Debec Pond near Ducktail Pond, and you can run the rapids of Union River - West Branch. There is a nice hiking trail near Ducktail Pond called the Old Gold Mine Trail; Eastbrook Campground is a great local campground.
