Tannery Brook River is a pleasant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Ducktail Pond, and Bald Bluff Mountain is stunning and can be seen from here. And that's not all you can do here at Ducktail Pond. Near Ducktail Pond you locate the Eagle Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and why not camp at Parks Pond Campground since you're here at Ducktail Pond. White Birches Country Club is a brilliant place to get some       rest, and some of the water close by flows, like Indian Camp Brook. At Ducktail Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows through the winter for Ducktail Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. The Peaked Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail close to Ducktail Pond, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Ellsworth is                  a good site to spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ducktail Pond a wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a picturesque lake called Debec Pond near Ducktail Pond, and you can run the rapids of Union River - West Branch.
