    Duck Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Duck Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Chimney Pond Campground is a good spot for that. Not far from Duck Pond, you'll locate Rocky Pond which is a wonderful lake, and Katahdin Inn is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Duck Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Roaring Brook Campground is a great local campground;  
   why not go to nearby Pockwockamus Stream if you're here at Duck Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. At Duck Pond you can see Abol Mountain, and do take a hike on the Dudley Trail. Duck Pond gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Through the warm months here at Duck Pond, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's, and during the night it
 
               cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Duck Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's.
In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy Stream; Duck Pond is right by the Abol Trail. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Duck Pond. Whitewater paddling is good on Nesowadnehunk Stream, and fine skiing awaits you at Big Squaw. Lakes? Sure, Round Pond is in the neighborhood, and hiking along the Cathedral Trail is brilliant fun.
