     Abol Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Duck Pond, and Duck Pond is right by the Cathedral Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Sandy Stream has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby, and hey, Gotta ski right? Big Squaw is a good site to do that. But wait, there's more to do near Duck Pond. A good spot to camp here at Duck Pond is Roaring Brook Campground, and you'll find a pretty lake called Rocky Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Inn &  
   Suites, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Duck Pond; Abol Trail is a good local trail.
Duck Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Chimney Pond Campground is a tremendous local campground; if you need a spot to stay Americas Best Value Heritage Motor Inn is a great choice. Pockwockamus Stream is a perfect local stream; whitewater paddling is good on Nesowadnehunk Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Round Pond in close proximity
 
               to Duck Pond, it's a beautiful lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Dudley Trail.
During the summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Duck Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Duck Pond temperatures plunge to the-10's. From a rain point of view Duck Pond is a quite typical place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
