Union River - East Branch has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and a tour to Acadia National Park is recommended. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Duck Pond. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Duck Pond tend to be in the 0's. If you need       a place to stay Sea Breeze Motel is a fine choice, and you can stay the night at Eastbrook Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Narraguagus River is so much fun. While you're here at Duck Pond, you could also go to delightful Rocky Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Duck Pond; Lead Mountain Trail is a fine local trail. A great close by hotel is Best Western Inn, and Duck Pond is right by the Bar Island Trail. There's so                  much to do here at Duck Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain View Campground is a brilliant place for that, and you'll find a charming lake called Spectacle Pond. From a precipitation point of view Duck Pond is a relatively common spot; November is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. So many enjoyable things to do at Duck Pond, so little time.
