This lake is so wonderful. Acadia National Park is one of the destinations close to Duck Pond that are wonderful to go to. Get dripping wet paddling on Narraguagus River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Duck Pond; Bar Island Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Duck Pond       has to offer, you can camp at Eastbrook Campground, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Acadia Park Inn is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Duck Pond. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Duck Pond dip into the 0's. If you get bored of Duck Pond, you could also visit nearby Rocky Pond,                  and Sea Breeze Motel is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Paddling on Union River - East Branch is so much fun; some close by water includes Dark Brook. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Good hiking is available along the Lead Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Duck Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain View Campground is a fine place for that.
