    Why not stop by Duck Pond if you're passing through these parts. A good spot to take a look at close to Duck Pond is Great Notch; if you need a location to stay The Harbour Cottage Inn is a good choice. Blue Hill Falls is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Duck Pond, and there are magnificent sites to discover along the Great Long Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Acadia National Park is a great national park, and don't leave Duck Pond without first going  
   for a hike along the Old Spring Trail.
Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Duck Pond is great! Why not stop by nearby Duck Pond Brook if you're here at Duck Pond. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Duck Pond get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Duck Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. A great
 
               site to camp here at Duck Pond is Smuggler's Den Campground; dry warm beds await you at Harbor Heights Vacation Rental.
A great site for whitewater paddling next to Duck Pond is Union River, and the summit of Bald Hill can be distinguished from Duck Pond. While you're here at Duck Pond you should pop by Carter Cove; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Echo Lake Beach. Duck Pond generally gets a large amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout November; August is the month with the least moisture.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool things just keep reading. Go for a hike on the Western Mountain Ridge Trail, and nothing beats kicking back at Cobble Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Duck Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, White Birches Campground is a splendid local campground, and no need to travel far to take a look at exciting stuff like Duck Rock.
