If you are in Piscataquis county it's always a good idea to stop by Dry Pond. The amount of rain that falls at Dry Pond is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. | | you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy Stream, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Katahdin Inn. On a brilliant day at Dry Pond you can take a hike along the Cathedral Trail; Table Land is a great location to stop at while in the vicinity. Dry Pond is not far at all from Bangor; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Dudley Trail. Be careful coming to Dry Pond, you might not ever wanna return back home again. a sight of Baxter Peak from Dry Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dry Pond has to offer, you can camp at Roaring Brook Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail close to Dry Pond
called the Saddle Trail. Summertime highs at Dry Pond typically tend to be in the 70's; the overnight is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's
overnight here at Dry Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful location for whitewater paddling near Dry Pond is Nesowadnehunk Stream River, and Great Basin is a wonderful place to stretch your legs a bit.
