Annis Brook is next to Draper Pond and is always a delight to visit; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Green Falls. Throughout the long summer days here at Draper Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during       the winter temperatures at Draper Pond descend into the-10's. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Upper South Branch Pond, and don't leave Draper Pond without first checking out Snub Pitch. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Draper Pond without first going for a hike along the Old Pogy Road. So much amusing stuff to do at Draper Pond, so little time. The view of picturesque North Pogy Mountain near Draper Pond is                  tremendous, and you can stay the night at Chimney Pond Campground. A normal amount of rain falls here at Draper Pond; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Katahdin Inn is a great choice; the Northwest Basin Trail offers hiking at its best. South Branch Pond Campground is a fine campground nearby; paddling on Nesowadnehunk Stream is so much fun. There's nice hiking along the Howe, and Nesowadnehunk Stream River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.   Katahdin Inn, Millinocket 24 miles away The Econo Lodge is located at the northern end of the Appalachian Trail.
