Looking for some flowing water? Try Black Rock Brook, and Flanders Bay is a good local campground. Get covered with water paddling on Narraguagus River - West Branch, unsurprisingly you could also stop at Round Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Sprague Falls is an inspiring place to explore while you're here, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Alder Path Trail. The Harborside Hotel and Marina is a magnificent

The summit of Catskin Mountain can be observed from Downing Pond, and swamps don’t sound that fine but Catskin Heath in close proximity to Downing Pond is quite fine. through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Downing Pond. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; night lows during the wintertime for Downing Pond tend
to be in the 10's. A lake close by is Long Pond; paddling on Narraguagus River is so much fun. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Downing Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Lead
Mountain Trail; if you're looking for a great visit, Acadia National Park is relatively near. Lots of rain falls at Downing Pond; November is when you get the most rain here; August is when it's the driest.
