This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Piscataquis River near Dow Pond, and what would winter be without some skiing at New Hermon Mountain. Pleasant River - East Branch is a good whitewater spot in close proximity to Dow Pond, and       one of the major marks of the surroundings of Dow Pond is Buck Hill. Any time is a brilliant time at Dow Pond if you go for the outdoors. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dow Pond has to offer, you can camp at Jo-mary Lake Campground, and Dow Pond is right by the Number Two Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Norton Trail offers hiking at its best, and you'll come across a beautiful lake called Sebec Lake. Dow Pond regularly gets a lot                  of precipitation; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Dow Pond reach the 70's, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Dow Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
