    In Maine there are many beautiful lakes, Dority Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Wounded Deer Pond close to Dority Pond, it's a pretty lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Jackman Landing Campground is a delightful spot to camp. Going for a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; if you're here, you could also check out pretty Cheney Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Bingham  
   Motor Inn, and Penobscot River - South Branch is a magnificent whitewater spot close by.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Dority Pond. Have a good hiking adventure along the Alder Brook Trail; do take a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail. A common amount of rain falls here at Dority Pond; the month with most of the rain is July; February on the other hand is the driest.
All through the long summer days at Dority Pond highs are commonly
 
               in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Dority Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Penobscot River - South Branch, and why not camp at Old Mill Camping Area if you're here at Dority Pond.
