During the months of summer highs here at Donnell Pond reach the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Donnell Pond dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Donnell Pond is a pretty wet place regularly with lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently       November, that's the one that rains the most; August on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Bar Harbor Inn, and Mountain View Campground is a pleasant local campground. Don't miss out on a trip to Acadia National Park while you're here at Donnell Pond; you can go for a hike on the Jessup Trail. What a location this is for outdoors people. A spree to Norway Point close to Donnell Pond is always a good idea,                  and as expected Alder Brook is a scenic stream that is worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. On a pretty day you can take a look at Black Beach near Donnell Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Union River - East Branch. An interesting thing to have a look at near Donnell Pond is Donnell Pond Dam, and get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Narraguagus River - West Branch. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff close to Donnell Pond. Mountainview Campground is a fine campground nearby; at Donnell Pond you can see Duck Pond Hill. If you need a spot to stay Sea Breeze Motel is a good choice; going for a hike on the Bar Island Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
