     Dole Pond Dam is not far at all from Dole Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Alder Brook Trail. Summertime at Dole Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Dole Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's. Long Pond is a great lake near Dole Pond; a nice location to camp here at Dole Pond is Jackman  
   Landing Campground.
Dole Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in close proximity to Dole Pond. There are some great whitewater spots on Penobscot River - North Branch, and if you come at the right time of year, Penobscot River - South Branch offers some fine whitewater. This lake
 
               is so wonderful. The Bald Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping at Old Mill Camping Area is always a magnificent experience.
Why not have a look at nearby Roberts Brook while you're here at Dole Pond; a pretty lake like Sears Pond is a great place to explore.
