Go to Dodge Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Dodge Pond in fact is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. If you came to camp Black Brook Cove Campground is a brilliant spot to do that, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Bemis Trail. You could also stop by Rangeley Lake if you're here at Dodge Pond; it's nearby, and possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Round Pond is just a very short distance away. At Dodge Pond

| | Dam near Dodge Pond there are some exciting things to see, and the Milrose Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Black Mountain nearby, and Dodge Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, North Camps is a pleasant local campground. period of the summer here at Dodge Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's while Dodge Pond overnight low temperatures
during the winter are in the-10's. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the White Mountains. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dead
River - South Branch, and Burnham Hill is clearly visible from Dodge Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Saddleback, and Hunter Cove is very near and is a tremendous spot to explore.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area next to Dodge Pond has to offer. Dodge Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The White Mountains
rocks! Kennebago River is a great whitewater spot close to Dodge Pond, and dry warm beds await you at The Perennial Inn. Near Dodge Pond you locate the Bemis Stream Trail which is a good hiking trail; it's a tremendous idea to take a look at Quimby Brook.

Bugeye Pond
 | 17 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
